Apeironix Inc. (“Apeironix,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and other applicable laws. This CCPA Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you visit our website (www.apeironix.com), interact with our AI Insurance Automation Platform (the “Platform” or “Services”), or engage with services we offer to our partners, such as analytics or advertising services. This Policy applies to California residents (“consumers” or “you”) as defined under the CCPA and supplements our general Privacy Policy and the Apeironix Master Services Agreement (MSA) for enterprise customers. For enterprise customers, additional details are provided in the MSA (Section 4: Data Ownership and Protection) and the Data Processing Addendum (Exhibit C).

We use various technologies, including cookies and similar tools, to enhance your user experience and improve the quality of our Services. We prioritize keeping your information safe and secure. Below, we outline our practices and your rights under the CCPA.

1. Information We Collect.

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or household (“Personal Information”). When you visit our website or use our Services, we may collect the following categories of Personal Information:

  • Identifiers: Name, email address, postal address, phone number, IP address, device ID, or other unique identifiers.

  • Customer Records: Information provided during account creation or subscription (e.g., billing details, contact information).

  • Internet or Network Activity: Browsing history, interactions with our website or Platform, cookies, web beacons, or similar tracking technologies.

  • Geolocation Data: Approximate location based on IP address or device settings (not precise geolocation).

  • Professional or Employment-Related Information: Job title, company name, or other business-related information submitted via forms or the Platform.

  • Inferences: Insights drawn from Personal Information to create profiles reflecting preferences or behaviors (e.g., for analytics or personalized features).

  • Customer Content: For enterprise customers, data submitted to the Platform (e.g., policy data, premium/commission data), which may include Personal Information of policyholders, insureds, or beneficiaries, as described in the MSA (Section 4.1).


We do not knowingly collect sensitive Personal Information (e.g., Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account numbers, or health data) unless explicitly authorized in an Order Form and processed in compliance with the MSA and Data Processing Addendum (Exhibit C).

2. How We Collect Information.

We use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and similar technologies to collect and store information when you:

  • Visit our website (www.apeironix.com).

  • Interact with our Services, including the Platform’s features (e.g., data extraction, policy comparison, automation modules).

  • Engage with analytics or advertising services we provide to partners.

These technologies help us identify your browser or device, track interactions, and improve user experience. For enterprise customers, we also collect Personal Information through:

  • Account registration and management (MSA Section 1.2).
  • Customer Content submitted to the Platform (MSA Section 1.4).

  • Usage Data generated from your use of the Services, such as performance metrics or logs (MSA Section 4.2).

You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or our cookie consent tool on the website. Disabling cookies may limit some Service functionalities.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use Personal Information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including AI-driven features like policy data extraction, automated renewals, and commission reconciliation.

  • Enhance user experience through personalized content and analytics.

  • Process transactions, manage accounts, and provide customer support (MSA Section 1).

  • Conduct analytics and generate ML Improvements (de-identified/aggregated data) to optimize Service performance (MSA Section 4.2).

  • Communicate with you about updates, promotions, or support issues (with opt-out options for marketing).

  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the security of our Services (MSA Section 4.5).

  • Deliver advertising or partner services, where applicable.

For enterprise customers, Customer Content (including Personal Information) is processed solely to provide the Services, as detailed in the MSA (Section 4.1) and Data Processing Addendum (Exhibit C).

4. How We Share Your Information.

We do not sell Personal Information as defined under the CCPA. We may share Personal Information as follows:

  • Service Providers and Subprocessors: With vendors or subprocessors (e.g., cloud hosting providers like AWS, analytics providers) to perform functions like hosting, support, or analytics, under agreements as protective as those in the MSA (Exhibit C, Section 5).

  • Affiliates: With Apeironix affiliates for internal business purposes, subject to this Policy.

  • Legal Compliance: To comply with Applicable Laws, respond to legal requests, or protect our rights, property, or safety (MSA Section 11.2).

  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you and safeguards for your data.

  • Aggregated/De-Identified Data: We may share Usage Data or ML Improvements in aggregated/de-identified form for analytics, improvements, or marketing (MSA Section 4.2).

5. Your CCPA Rights.

As a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA, subject to verification and certain exceptions:

  • Right to Know: Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected, used, disclosed, or sold about you in the past 12 months, including the categories of sources and third parties involved.

  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of Personal Information we have collected, subject to exemptions (e.g., legal obligations, backup retention per MSA Section 4.6).

  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale: Opt out of the sale of your Personal Information. Note: Apeironix does not sell Personal Information.

  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights (e.g., by denying Services or charging different prices).

To exercise these rights, submit a verifiable request to legal@apeironix.com or call (888) 508-9495. You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf, provided we receive written proof of authorization. We will verify your identity by matching provided information (e.g., name, email) with our records. For enterprise customers, data subject requests are handled per the Data Processing Addendum (Exhibit C, Section 8). We will respond within 45 days, extendable by 45 days with notice.

6. Data Security.

We implement and maintain reasonable security measures to protect your Personal Information, as detailed in our Security Policy (MSA Exhibit B), including:

  • Annual SOC 2 Type II audits and penetration testing.

  • Encryption of data at rest and in transit using AWS KMS with HSM-backed key management.

  • Vetted personnel access and secure development practices.

  • Regular third-party security tests of applications and infrastructure.

In the event of a Personal Data Breach, we will notify you promptly as required by Applicable Laws and cooperate per the MSA (Section 4.5) and DPA (Exhibit C, Section 4).

7. Retention of Personal Information.

We retain Personal Information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in Section 3, in accordance with our Data Retention Policy (MSA Section 2.4(c)). For enterprise customers, Customer Content is retained during the Subscription Period and up to 60 days post-termination for export, unless otherwise required by law (MSA Section 4.6). Usage Data may be retained in aggregated/de-identified form for analytics or ML Improvements (MSA Section 4.2).

8. Changes to This Policy.

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be posted at www.apeironix.com/legal/ccpa-policy, and we will notify you via email or the Platform for material changes. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of updates constitutes acceptance.

9. Electronic Notices and Communications.

You consent to receive any agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications (collectively, “Notices”) from Apeironix electronically, including via email or by posting on the Platform or website. You agree that all Notices we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. You are responsible for maintaining a valid email address and ensuring delivery of Notices. Unless otherwise specified, Notices will be deemed given when sent by email or posted online.

10. No Agency or Employment Relationship.

Nothing in this CCPA Privacy Policy creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, employer-employee, or franchisor-franchisee relationship between you and Apeironix. You are not authorized to act on behalf of Apeironix or bind Apeironix to any obligation.
